Private Equity Due Diligence and Portfolio Assessment Services

For private equity clients, we are able to participate in the due diligence process to help evaluate a concept’s growth potential, pipeline viability, systems, processes and personnel. We are also able to support a firm’s existing portfolio of brands through our consulting and project services.

Jeff Sturgis

With nearly 30 years of experience in the franchise industry, Jeff brings a practical, strategic and collaborative approach to all of his client relationships. Starting in a franchise sales role and advancing to the role of Chief Development Officer, Jeff has continually and intentionally developed his knowledge, experience, relationships, and philosophy for smart, strategic and sustainable growth that serves all key stakeholders in the franchise relationship - founders, private equity sponsors, the brand, the franchisor and its team, and the heart of any franchised business, its franchisees.

Using his deep experience, knowledge and understanding of all development functions, Jeff is able to create and implement a development strategy that aligns with unit level operational dynamics, and overall organizational culture, goals and strategy.

His experience includes leading cross-functional development teams in single and multi-brand organizations including emerging brands, regional brands, and iconic national brands. He has held the role of Chief Development Officer for over 13 years for national and regional concepts in the full-service, fast casual and QSR restaurant space, as well as the Vice President of Franchising for a large, national personal services concept with over 1300 units. He has also been an advisor to and consulted with over 30 franchise brands including concepts in the restaurant, retail, fitness, wellness and service industries.

Jeff has been an active member of the International Franchise Association; a past Board Member of the IFA Supplier Forum and the New England Franchise Association, and a frequent speaker at and contributor to franchising events and publications
